The Company of Wolves

The Company of Wolves is a fresh and interesting take on the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Irish direction Neil Jordan, who you may know from The Crying Game and Interview With the Vampire, does a spectacular job of adapting Angela Carters short story of the same name.

The film follows young Rosaleen (Sarah Patterson) as she struggles to deal with her growing maturity and growing sexuality. Oh, there's werewolves in this film to. Here is the link to my Company of Wolves review

Come Drink With Me

When Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon hit the scene, Ang Lee claimed King Hu as an influence. This led to a small surge in interest in Hu among Western audiences. You can definitely see that Hu has affected Lee if you watch a few of his films. Come Drink With Me is one of the better known of Hu's films, probably because it was release by Dragon Dynasty. Though this isn't Hu's best work, it's a pretty good film, and I would definitely recommend it to anybody that has an interest in wuxia films.

Here's a Come Drink With Me review.
